Finally!! It's warm enough to be enjoying our deck and backyard again. I bought these wonderful fabrics in Mexico last year and had outdoor cushion covers made. At only $3.00/yard I could hardly contain myself (and I don't even sew!) Typically I would not go for fabrics with any color but after a week in vibrant Mexico, I just couldn't resist. I still can't get over the price! It's nice to pull these out of storage this year and be reminded our wonderful time there.
A couple of weeks ago we laid a black stone path in our backyard that turned out much better that we had planned. You will be astonished to hear that it was in fact ME who suggested we do it ourselves.
In the end, it really wasn't very difficult and creating the pattern was a lot of fun. We rewarded ourselves with a refreshing glass of Pimm's after all of our hard work!
Pimms Recipe
Traditional Pimms No.1
Take one slice of orange, lemon, apple, cucumber per person and one sprig of mint and add to two parts lemonade to one part Pimms. (Or use Sprite or 7-UP in place of lemonade)
